Maintenance Tribunals for Parents and Senior Citizens in Delhi

Delhi government has opened 9 Tribunals to address grievances of senior citizens under Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, which provides for compulsory maintenance and welfare of elderly by their families.

    How danger to life by son & sons in law , who are in a hurry to sell the property of father-father in law & divide it, by threatening to throw acid on him if he does not agree to sell property, be protected under the Maintenance of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2007. How can he disown them & severe all relations with them & ask his son to leave his house, a self acquired property by the father & son not employed & unmarried till 33.

    A widow who raised her children despite all difficulties is being neglected by both her married sons. She is allowed to use the loo only twice a day and have bath once in three days. Made to work like a servant in the house! Can any one guide which organisation to approach for immediate action

    my father is 62 years and my mothers is 55 years. My elder brother and his wife are so much trouble to my parents both are always demanding the property part and always demanding money to my old decent parents both are fight to my parents and physically and mental asaulted. My brother’s wife compliant so many time in 100 number for domestic voilence and threat to my parents for arrest the police and file the case. so please help me how protect to my parents
