Court prevents eviction of elderly woman from her house

On 11 May 2013 Pune Mirror reported the story of 87 year old Mandakini Shantaram Ghag:

“Eighty-seven-year-old Mandakini Shantaram Ghag’s struggle for justice against her two children who were allegedly harassing her has finally come to fruition. A city court on Thursday granted maintenance of Rs 2,000 per month to Ghag, a resident of Sahakarnagar. Her son, Pralhad, has been asked to pay the maintenance. Earlier, the court had issued orders to Pralhad and her daughter Mangal alias Charulata, restraining them from inflicting violence upon Ghag.

The court has also ordered Ghag’s son and daughter against evicting the elderly woman from her house.”
