  6. Dear Madam/Sir,
    Greeting from SNDAYP…………………..
We have been working in the Puri Sadar Block of Puri District of Orissa of India since 1994. In these days we have conducted so many health programmes to support the community health and the continuing programme on Community Based Rehabilitation of Person with Disability. We realizes so many things to be done for the children otherwise the victim of the wide spread diseases and malnutrition which also the cause for their disabilities. The children of these areas are being threatened by the poverty and starvation due to low per-capita income. The parents of the children belongs to the most marginalized section of the society are not conscious about the health of their children. The ill children of this locality are not coming to doctors for their regular check up. They always move bare foot and with dirty clothes. The various skin diseases and contagious diseases are very common in the children because of the using of contaminated water. The people are not aware of the preventive health care due to lack of knowledge and the pressure of the poverty.

SNDAYP wants to undertake a programme for these helpless children and their parents to make aware them about the protection of health and hygiene. We want to promote community level health check up centers for the children to support the health status of the children. There would be a counseling center for children (0-6 years) to keep fit against any diseases. The water are used for drinking and cooking would be decontaminated though preventive measures. We have doctors and physiotherapist for the disabled child to take care about the child’s health and need. We want here a children health club in the community where the counselor would define how to have a good health and better hygiene in prevention of diseases for the children under age group of 6 to 15 years. In every village of Puri Sadar Block children are suffered more then the parents which might be alleviated by the only possible way of intensive health approach. We have also decided to conduct the immunization programme with the support of primary health centers because maximum children are not immunized in the rural areas due to the distance of the PHC. We would be able to minimize the distance of the immunization center within the community.

We are looking for the future of the children a diseases free living where the death rate of the children would come down. The children are precious for their parents and the country because they have to do their duties for their country and parents. It would be a successful application of this programme of intent if came out with the agency. We look forward an early positive response from the agency to apply a full project proposal in this connection.
Looking forward for hearing from you soon.

    Yours truly,
    (Basanta Kumar Mishra)
    Secretary, SNDAYP

  7. Dear Sir/Madam,
Our society for Education of the deaf and blind [Regd] is conducting a school for the deaf since 1984.There are 217 children studying from 1st standard to 10th class [Including Vocational training]. Hostel fecility is for 80 children. Since 1992 we are securing grant from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. But since 2008-09, the gant was stopped for want of finances at the Centre. However we are making regerous efforts to get the grant adressing Appeals to various authorities and are bit hopeul. But meanwhile the school is to be survived. The staff who are serving the institution for the last 25 years are in the street with their families not knowing what to do.The helplesss mute children would be deprived of their education if the school is closed. Hence we are badly in need of a stopgap financial arrangement for the sustainability of the school. We request any Donor agency to come to our rescue and help us thereby averting the closure of the school. On hearing from you we will send the required information. Viewing the school is more important .Please do the needful and save the poor staff and children. We assure you that we will not become a permanant burdon on any one. Any little help will go a long way in saving the fate of the children.

We are also working with school & college children/ students and making them more aware about environment awareness and protection, for this we organize slide show, froup discussion and other environment related completion among students. Under its “Satat paryavaran sanrakshan Abhiyan” foundation also distributed free of cost Around 12000 tree plants including Mango, Laiman, Kathal, Chiku, Santara, Chakotara, Kino, Anar ,Kela, Papaya, Dibiscas, Chameli, Rat-Rani, Harad, Bahera, Amala, and medical plants Arjun, Kapoor, morpankhi, Alove vira, Ashok, Rudraksha, Neem. Air, water, soil and climate of the Dehradun region are suitable for the growth of these native species, and hence their survival rate is quite high. In turn, these support the birds, insects and animals of this ecosystem. These species also are most effective in fighting air and noise pollution.
    2) Health Care: Organizing Health Camps in remote areas of Uttrakhand. We have been orgenised 3 Medical camps in the rural area of District Dehradun. A team of doctors with specializations in medicine, surgery, ENT, orthopedics, gynecologyand dentistry examined patients in the camp for various ailments. Blood sugar, blood pressure ECG was checked as indicators of health. Foundation distributes free medicines to the patients. UHREMD FOUNDATION is providing free medical aid to people. Our health camps not only create awareness but also provide Free of cost health care. 35 persons have been fully supported by foundation to make thire cataract operation success. We have given spectacles to more then 700 needy and poor people. A number of patients were supported for X-ray and ultrasound. We have also supported people for MRI check up. For example recently we organised a free health and treatment camp for Dudhali’s (Dehradun) residents that evoked a good response. Free health check-ups and free medicines were provided, Doctors did a detailed examination and prescribed drugs which were provided free of cost by foundation . A total of 693 patients were followed.

There was a lot of more dialogue and discussion with the village people, and formation of village level groups to help plan and implement development programmes.

The ultimate goal of Spectra is to effect an improvement in the health of disadvantaged women in rural areas by providing gender sensitive management training to health coordinators while emphasizing self help and promoting local health tradition to empower women, Spectra recognize that women have been making a valuable contribution to health care, both at the household and community level.

  109. Greetings from Wildlife and Nature conservation Trust!!!
We are an NGO based out of Ooty in Nilgiris, doing extensive work in the field of wildlife conservation and protection. We are involved in lot of activities like,
    1. Rescue and Rehabilitation
    2. Wildlife awareness programs
    3. Anti poaching drives
    4. Capacity building etc.
We work a lot on rescue of wild mammals, birds and reptiles from Nilgiris, coimbatore and sathymangalam districts, treat them and release them safely. Many times we use public transport to reach such places and this delays in time and also use mini lorries and tempos to transport and treat injured animals. We feel that a full fledged ambulance for wildlife will help such poor affected animals a lot in saving their life.
Hence we are applying here a project to buy a ‘Wildlife ambulance’ which will be a SUV vehicle converted into an ambulance.Attaching the filled up application form for your perusal. Also visit our website http://www.wnct.in and Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/reptileconservationoftamilnadu
Kindly support us in this noble cause
